Lixisenatide Injection (Solution for SC Injection)
Incretin Mimetic for Type 2 Diabetes Management
Product Overview

Lixisenatide is a once-daily injectable medication which operates through its mechanism as a GLP-1 receptor agonist. The medicine works to control blood sugar levels in adult patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus after their current treatment with Metformin and basal insulin becomes ineffective.

Lixisenatide simulates an incretin hormone which causes your body to release insulin when it detects high blood sugar levels. The medication delays stomach emptying to stop glucose levels from rising too quickly after meals.
