Virgin Coconut Oil (Pressed in Cold and Unrefined)
Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is an unprocessed oil made from fresh milk from good quality coconuts using a mechanical cold pressing method. First, VCO is not produced commercially because heat or chemical bleaching is absent, so that it can hold antioxidants, vitamins, and the peculiar tropical smell. VCO has a high content of Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), mostly of Lauric Acid, which has turned it into a “super food” for both internal health and external care.
Direct Benefits
Includes higher Calories: Made up of 60% MCTs which go in generating energy immediately instead of being stored as the FAT.
Boosts the Immune System: High concentration of Lauric Acid brings its inherent antimicrobial and antiviral properties.
Stomach Soother: Helps in absorbing fat-soluble vitamins & minerals by tearing the digestive system.
Skin & Hair: Acts as a deep moisturizer helping the skin with the healing of its barrier, and the hair by reducing protein loss.
Supports Heart Health: Useful in eating regimen due to HDL cholesterol enhancement when consumed in moderation.

Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: How does Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) differ from regular coconut oil?
A: Regular coconut oil is usually manufactured from dried copra and then is subjected to the refining, bleaching, and deodorizing (RBD) process. Virgin Coconut Oil, in contrast, is extracted from fresh coconut milk under heat, which retains all the natural nutrients and coconut flavor.
Q: Can I use VCO for frying?
A: Yes. With regard to sauteing, baking, and light-heat frying, VCO has a moderate smoking point of around 177°C, imparting a delicate flavor to dishes.
Q: Would it be safe to use it for babies?
A: Of course. Because VCO is 100% pure, no additives, and does not contain any chemicals. Hence, you can apply it freely as a natural massage oil for your little one to protect against diaper rash and help soothe dry skin.
Q: Is it a tool to lose weight?
A: This is not recommended. However, when applied in a well-balanced diet, MCTs found in VCO help in managing satiety and give a quick high instead of supporting metabolic health.
Q: Can this be used to remove makeup?
A: Smell with raw coconut oil! It is a great makeup remover and aids in the smudge of waterproof mascara gently, while at the same time hydrating the fragile skin surrounding the eyes.
