This device is made to stabilize the neck and keep it immobilized. The chin cup eliminates the unwanted movement on the neck and keeps the neck and head stable. It is suggested in the instance that there is a good immobilization demand of the neck area. And since its front opening it is favourable to patients with tracheostomy and its balloon like swoloes makes it an ideal collar in treatment of a patient with burns.
