Overview:
Domperidone is a drug used to ease symptoms including nausea, vomiting, bloating and pain that occur due to slow movement of the stomach. It assists in the reduction of the feeling of sickness by increasing the speed at which food is passed through the stomach and the intestines. The drug is commonly used in cases where persons have issues of gastric disorders, acidity reflux and or rapidity of feeling full after eating.

Uses:
Domperidone is commonly being used in relieving such symptoms as nausea, vomiting, bloated stomach, or abdominal discomfort as a result of slow-digesting or acidic stomach. It assists ease of the food passage in the stomach and the intestinal system to promote a relief of the sensation of fullness, gases, and indigestion. In addition, it may be applied in the treatment of gastroparesis, which is a disorder in which the stomach does not empty as fast as it normally does and there are instances when it is taken to enhance breast breast milk production and under medical guidance.
How it works:
Domperidone works by blocking dopamine D₂ receptors, mainly in the part of the brain that controls nausea and in the gut. Dopamine can slow down the movement of the stomach and intestines and trigger vomiting. By blocking dopamine’s action, domperidone stimulates the muscles of the stomach and intestines, helping food move more quickly through the digestive tract. This action helps reduce nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort after eating.

Precautions:
Before using domperidone, it is important to tell your doctor whether you have any heart problems, specifically whether you had experienced a skipped heartbeat, or whether you take any drug that is likely to impact the heart functionality. Be aware of doing it in case you have liver or kidney problems. Domperidone is not commonly applicable in long-time usage and higher dose, as it can increase the chance of cardiovascular side effects. Overview:
Esomeprazole is a drug that assists in reducing the secretion of stomach acid. It has been used in acid reflux, heartburn and ulcers of the stomach. The drug belongs to the type of drugs referred to as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Esomeprazole has various therapeutic uses that include relieving the pain of acid reflux and heartburn associated with GERD, helps treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers, prevents ulcers that can occur in the long-term treatment of pain relievers such as NSAIDs, treats H. pylori infection when used with antibiotics and controls Zollinger-Ellison syndrome which is a rare disorder that is characterized by excessive production of stomach acid. It reduces the acid content of the stomach, thus making healing occur.
How it works:
Esomeprazole works through the inhibition of an enzyme in the stomach-liner called the proton pump. Stomach acid is vital in the action of this pump. The acid is reduced in the stomach by esomeprazole which maintains the stomach at normal levels by deactivating the pump. This measure will relieve such symptoms as heartburn and will enhance better healing of ulcers and inflammation.

Precaution:It is always recommended that before you start taking esomeprazole, you should tell your doctor about any liver problems you may have, whether you have osteoporosis or not, and also medications that you are currently taking like blood thinning agents and also antifungal medications because they interact. You should avoid using it in the long term unless your physician recommends it since the consequences may be low levels of magnesium, lack of vitamin B12 or even an increased bone fracture risk.
