Overview

Brivaracetam is used to help control certain types of seizures, especially focal (partial-onset) seizures that affect only part of the brain. How It Works
Brivaracetam works by modifying how brain cells communicate, calming the overactive electrical signals that lead to seizures. It binds to a protein in the brain called SV2A, which plays a role in regulating neurotransmitter release. This helps to stabilize brain activity and prevent seizure episodes.
