ORNIDAZOLE

Ornidazole is an antibiotic medicine which is used to treat various bacterial and parasitic infections. The antibiotic works by killing and/or keeping the growth of infection-causing organisms at bay. It does so by relieving the inflammation’s symptoms and expediting the healing process.

Ornidazole belongs to a class of antibacterial medications called ‘nitroimidazoles’ primarily used to treat infections caused by protozoans & bacteria
USES

Amoebiasis (a stomach infection)
Chlamydia
Giardia and Trichomonas infections (can affect the stomach or private parts)

HOW IT WORKS
Ornidazole’s action lies in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa metabolizing Ornidazole to produce reactive metabolites that cause DNA damage and inhibit critical cellular functions.

No alcohol while taking this medicine, and for 3 days after you stop. It can make you feel sick.

Liver or kidney problems? Tell your doctor before taking it.
For children: Only give if the doctor says so.
