Overview:

Pazosin hydrochloride is a medicine mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).This helps bring your blood pressure down, which takes pressure off your heart and lowers your chances of having a stroke.It can also help men with an enlarged prostate by making urination easier.

Uses:
Prazosin is mainly used to treat high blood pressure by helping blood vessels relax, so blood flows more easily. This helps lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes. It is used in men with an enlarged prostate (BPH) to ease urination by relaxing muscles in the bladder and prostate

How it works:
Prazosin works by helping the muscles in your blood vessels and other parts of the body stay loose and open, so things flow more smoothly.It blocks special signals (called alpha-1 receptors) that normally cause these muscles to tighten. When the muscles relax, blood flows more easily, which helps lower blood pressure.

Precautions:
When you read to take the Prazosin medication, inform your doctor whether you ever experienced heart problems, kidney complications, or ever fainted or become very lightheaded upon standing. Someone may feel lightheaded with the first dose and therefore often after taking the first dose at night before you sleep in order to keep you safe. When standing up in the morning, do not rush because you risk becoming dizzy. And when you are pregnant or breastfeeding or taking some other drugs, in particular, of the pressure level or erectile dysfunction, it is important to state it as well just to make sure that everything would blend right and not cause any complications.
